We've done it! we've all arrived and survived our first day of ministry.
Our photographers split up today, they followed team 1, 4 and 5.
Team 1 headed out to the lake today, after a nearly 3 hour bus ride and an hour boat ride they hiked up into one of the villages and preformed their drama for the first time!
After the drama, they got to play with kids and talking to the locals for a while before starting the long journey back to the hotel.
Team 4 headed out to a school where they got to preform their drama for the first time too!
Team 5 had an interesting day. They headed to a village that had recently been hit by a mud slide. A lot of the people were in need of food, so the students helped put together bags of rice, beans and sugar to hand out to people. After also getting a chance to preform their drama the rest of their time was spent handing out food, playing with kids and talking to the locals about Jesus.
Team 5 did an excellent job on their drama, you'd never have known it was only the first day!
At one point during their stay a lady walked up to one of our leaders and told her that she'd been in her house and heard God tell her to come down the street because there was someone there she was supposed to talk to. After talking to her for a bit she found out that the lady had a crippled arm and hadn't been able to move it or squeeze her fingers in over 35 years... after praying with the lady she raised her hands and began praising God... she'd been healed! :)
